Welcome to Vernon Public Schools: where students learn, achieve, and succeed! This 10-month position works closely with classroom teachers and support staff to assist students with physical, emotional, behavioral, and/or educational needs. Paraeducators play an essential role in helping students build confidence, develop skills, and achieve success both academically and socially. Successful candidates will help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports learning for all students while maintaining high expectations and encouraging student growth.

Position Details

10-month school year position

Start Date: ASAP

Hourly Rate: Per contract for the 20262027 school year ($18.69$22.49 per hour, based on qualifying experience)

Compensation is dependent upon relevant paraeducator experience, teaching experience, accredited preschool experience, and other related educational setting experience.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

• Minimum of 60 college credits beyond a high school diploma
• Associate's Degree
• Passing score of 457 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment or ParaPathways

Strong communication skills, flexibility, patience, and a commitment to supporting student success are highly valued.
