Experienced Massage Therapist (commission-based)

Moonstone Beauty Studio looking for an experienced, licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. We’re a boutique wellness studio in Danvers offering personalized, results-driven services in a warm, welcoming environment. We’re looking for someone who is confident in their hands-on skills, genuinely enjoys working with clients, and wants to build and maintain a strong massage clientele. This is a great opportunity for an established therapist with a loyal following, as well as someone who is motivated to grow their business within a supportive studio environment. Responsibilities Provide exceptional massage therapy tailored to each client's individual needs and goals Perform modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, sports, prenatal, and other techniques within your scope of practice Conduct thoughtful client consultations and assessments and adjust each treatment accordingly Educate clients on appropriate at‑home self‑care and ways to support their wellness between appointments Maintain thorough and professional SOAP notes and client records Create a calm, professional, and welcoming experience that encourages clients to return Recommend appropriate services or add‑ons when they genuinely benefit the client's treatment Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized treatment room Follow all applicable Massachusetts regulations and Moonstone's sanitation and safety standards Continue developing your skills through ongoing education and professional development Qualifications Current Massachusetts Massage Therapy license in good standing CPR certification Professional massage therapy experience; an established clientele is strongly preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques Proficiency in multiple massage modalities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional, dependable, and punctual Comfortable working independently Strong commitment to client care and professionalism Willingness to actively promote yourself and your services Motivated to grow your schedule and develop long-term client relationships Compensation Commission + 100% of tips Actual earnings vary based on appointment volume, services performed, schedule, and gratuities. Therapists who maintain a consistently booked schedule have the opportunity to earn approximately $50–$60+ per hour including tips while fully booked. Building Your Clientele At Moonstone, building your book is a shared responsibility. We provide the studio, booking system, established brand, marketing opportunities, and a professional environment — but we expect our practitioners to actively participate in growing their clientele. This includes: Promoting your availability and services through your own professional social media and personal network Encouraging existing clients to rebook before leaving Following up appropriately with clients to encourage return visits Participating in Moonstone promotions, events, and marketing initiatives Helping introduce new clients to your services and specialties Taking an active interest in maintaining a consistently booked schedule We are looking for someone who wants to build a clientele, not simply be available for appointments.
