Job Description McLeod Health is seeking a CRNA to join their growing team in rural Cheraw, SC! This is a hospital employed opportunity with an excellent compensation package, retirement plans and benefits, PTO, CEU allowance, and signing bonus. Work Schedule Full-time (80 hours biweekly). About Cheraw, SC Cheraw is a charming, historic, rural town located about an hour from Charlotte and 45 minutes from the main campus- McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. The mild climate allows for plenty of outdoor activities in the Cheraw State Park which boasts walking trails, water sports on lake Juniper, camping grounds and excellent golf courses. There is also Pee Dee River access and a wonderful recreational center that offers a variety of sports activities and events for family members of all ages. There is access to both public and private school systems that the town takes great pride in. Cheraw is a friendly town with a progressive attitude. Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations Job responsibilities include those listed in competency document. Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Administers general, regional and monitored anesthesia care for any scheduled, urgent and emergent surgeries. Visit’s patients prior to surgery to obtain pre-operative patient history. Explains anesthesia plans, anesthesia care team and visits patients post operatively. Maximizes quality of patient care using current techniques, use of new agent, drugs and equipment. Share services provided by the CRNA staff anesthetists to provide continuous anesthesia related services 24 hours a day. Provides instruction and education for affiliating student nurse anesthetist to utilize basic knowledge and application of top-quality patient care. Effectively manages patient’s care after surgical procedure to ensure safety in transit to post-operative care unit or other critical care unit as deemed appropriate by anesthesia/surgeon team. Responds to calls within the Medical Center for patient care relative to airway maintenance and life support procedures. Demonstrates professionalism and integrity within the Anesthesia department. Qualifications /Training: Passed the National Certification Exam by the NBCRNA. Candidates must be able to perform all areas of anesthesia and be willing to work with anesthesiologists on a variety of cases. New graduates will be considered.
