About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Animal Care to serve as a visionary leader and champion of the highest standards in marine life well-being, scientific excellence, and conservation impact. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic development of the Animal Care Division, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the division through comprehensive strategic planning, goal-setting, and budget administration, while ensuring that all animal care programs align with the organization's values and mission. Core responsibilities include divisional management, living exhibit and aquarium innovation, maintaining scientific and organizational integrity, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance public engagement and conservation impact. Candidates for the Vice President of Animal Care position at the company must have a proven track record in leading and managing large, diverse teams, and be adept at working cross-functionally to achieve institutional goals. The role requires a strong background in marine biology, veterinary science, or a related field, with a deep understanding of animal care practices and conservation. The ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning, budget management, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of welfare and ethical animal management.
