Responsibilities:

• Provide mobile X-Ray and EKG services to nursing homes and healthcare facilities.
• Perform and process X-Rays using portable digital or computed radiography equipment.
• Submit and transmit X-Ray images to a radiologist for interpretation.
• Unload portable X-Ray equipment and perform exams ordered by physicians.
• Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically competent X-Ray images.
• Perform EKGs as needed and transmit them to a cardiologist for interpretation.
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily as per protocol.
• Communicate regularly with dispatch and management.
• Interact professionally with peers and supervisory staff.
• Maintain vehicle and X-Ray equipment.

Radiologic Technologists may need to push or pull weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs. Using vehicle ramps and pulleys can reduce this weight. Pushing or pulling equipment in facilities or homes can increase the weight. 50 lbs of force or more can occur 16 to 24 times a day.
