Overview Job Title Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic Taunton MA Landfill Overview Our leading environmental solutions client is seeking a Senior level Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work at their Taunton landfill location . This is a stable, long term opportunity offering great pay , a sign on bonus , and a Monday through Friday shift supporting essential operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, fleet vehicles, and landfill machinery Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension, air, and drivetrain systems Inspect equipment, identify mechanical issues, and complete required repairs efficiently Conduct safety inspections and service calls as needed Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment Work collaboratively with lead mechanics and maintenance leadership Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 4 plus years of heavy equipment or fleet maintenance experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Valid driver’s license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an outdoor landfill environment Experience with landfill, construction, or off road equipment strongly preferred Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Sign on bonus available Monday through Friday schedule Medical, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and holidays Retirement plan with company match Tuition reimbursement and career development opportunities Why This Role This is an opportunity to work for a well established environmental services organization that prioritizes safety, reliability, and long term investment in their maintenance teams.
