Working at Arvato means: Together, we’re on it.Job DescriptionThe Presort Mailing Operator operates machines that insert printed materials—such as letters or booklets for USPS mail—into folders or envelopes. The operator stacks quantities of inserts into machine pockets and adjusts feeder mechanisms using setscrews, based on the thickness of the material. They start the machine and replenish pockets with inserts and booklets as needed. The operator performs periodic maintenance on mail-inserting equipment and assists mechanics in identifying machine-related issues. YOUR TASKSPerforms and verifies own machine setups prior to manufacturingMaintains the integrity and organization of USPS presort mailings of First Class Letters/Flats; Marketing Mail Letter/Flats for Permit Imprint and Metered mail.Controlling the machine and processesMonitor processes, materials, or surroundingsMaintains workflow and ensures the availability of materials, tools, and necessary equipment for assemblyInspecting equipment, structures, or materialsMonitors safety practicesInteracts with other departments in production to resolve problems that interfere with the group’s productivityTrains new and less experienced operatorsCompletes required daily maintenance paperworkMaintains equipment in good working order and maintains a clean work areaReports machine and equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or mechanicsReports replacement parts; assists in periodical equipment checks to ensure maintenance of the machineResponsible for maintaining the quality and productivityAdhere to the company’s Quality Policy Statement and participate in the Quality Management SystemLifting up to 40lbsRequires standing for long periodsOther projects, duties, and/or tasks as assigned by management Shift hours: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm PSTQualifications Ability to work with minimal supervisionOperation monitoring and control precisionUnderstanding of general machine procedures and safety awarenessMaintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipmentGeneral understanding of USPS postal requirements for presort mail and documentation is preferred 1+ year related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceDirect Mail experience preferredAdditional Information Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability Pay.401(k) with company matching up to 6%.Paid Time Off, including paid holidays.Flexible Spending Accounts.Voluntary benefits such as legal and financial assistance, pet insurance, and more.Employee Assistance Program.Ongoing employee development opportunities including tuition reimbursement, scholarships, and training.Commuter benefits.Employee engagement activities.
