Superintendent, Reliability

The Reliability Superintendent will utilize reliability principles and tools to evaluate maintenance strategies for pulp and paper mill assets. The candidate will work closely with site resources to review equipment failures, downtime reports and equipment histories to uncover reoccurring maintenance problems. Evaluate, modify, enhance maintenance practices, PM and PDM effectiveness. Lead the application of effective predictive technologies and methods such as RCM, RCA within established safety, quality and environmental standards.Job Specifications:Develop and implement risk based and reliability centered maintenance strategies to support asset reliabilityLead site predictive and preventive maintenance programs (e.g. vibration analysis, lubrication programs, ultrasonic and motor signature analysis programs.Demonstrate proficient use of a CMMS (SAP experience a plus)Use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, and approaches to solving problems.Responsible to build individual and team capabilities by developing training systems.Provides technical support in the form of strategic reliability practices such as failure analysis, suggested technical repair procedures, reliability improvements, PM/PdM optimization, etc.Develop, report, and maintain appropriate Maintenance and Reliability KPI’sTeam player able to work and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.Ability to listen and understand information and ideas and to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely through oral and written communication.Entry Requirements:BS in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience5+ years experience employing Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodsFunctional knowledge of primary predictive technologies such as Vibration, Infrared Thermography, Oil Analysis Ultrasonic and Electric Motor Diagnostic/Motor Current AnalysisStrong safety leadership
