Medical Assistant – Outpatient Specialty Practice

Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday–Friday

NurSelect is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant for a full-time opportunity with a well-established outpatient specialty practice in Lebanon and Lancaster Pennsylvania.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced clinical environment with direct patient interaction, procedural support, and strong collaboration with physicians and nursing staff. Medical Assistant Certification is required.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

· Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures

· Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints

· Assist physicians during exams and office procedures

· Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic laboratory testing

· Prepare and administer medications as directed by physicians

· Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and assist with first aid procedures

· Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care

· Maintain accurate documentation within EMR systems

· Coordinate appointments, patient flow, and room turnover

· Assist with surgical/procedural room setup

· Support prescription management and patient record requests

· Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

· Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience required

· Medical Assistant certification or registration required

· Minimum 6 months of physician office experience preferred

· Specialty clinic or urology experience strongly preferred

· Experience with EMR systems required

· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

· Excellent communication and patient service skills

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following are highly encouraged to apply:

· Phlebotomy

· EKGs

· Surgical or procedural support

· Specialty physician practices

· Urology or outpatient clinic experience

· Medical scribing

· Veradigm EMR experience
