As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in maintaining oral health by providing preventive dental care and educating patients on proper hygiene practices. Your expertise will support dentists in delivering high-quality dental services and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient cleaning and scaling procedures
- Conduct dental charting to document oral conditions
- Administer X-ray imaging for diagnostic purposes
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Implement infection control protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Sterilize dental equipment following safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with dentists and dental team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in dental hygiene
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Knowledge of periodontal therapy techniques
- Proficiency in dental radiography
- Familiarity with infection control procedures
- Strong patient communication skills
- Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management
- Empathy and ability to build patient rapport
- Team collaboration skills
