About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: - 2 years of home health experience with high volume case loads, no exceptions. - 1 year of previous home health travel experience required. License: - Must have an active state license prior to submission. Certifications: - BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Recent OASIS experience required. - Must take an OASIS exam to be eligible for an interview. - Requires strong assessment skills, particularly in heart failure. - Expectation of completing visits within an 8-hour shift. Description: The home health department operates on an hourly pay model, not per visit. Travelers are expected to start their shifts on time as outlined in their contracts. The caseload will consist of 5-6 patients per day. Daily tasks will include admissions, wound care, and other nursing duties. This position also entails on-call responsibilities. Travelers must be flexible with scheduling. All considerations for modified hours must be approved by management. The patient population will include adults and geriatrics. Typical patient diagnoses may include heart failure, diabetes, and wound care. Applicants must be able to stand for long periods and manage physical tasks with ease. A personal statement is required for those with DUIs. Previous employees must have been gone for at least 24 months to be eligible for this position.
