Construction Litigation Attorney
Houston, TX | On-Site | Full-Time | Up to $160,000
A growing Houston-based law firm specializing in construction law and complex commercial disputes is seeking a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its team.
This position is heavily litigation-focused and offers the opportunity to manage cases from intake through resolution while representing contractors, subcontractors, property owners, and businesses in construction and commercial disputes.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from inception through settlement or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and legal correspondence
- Conduct depositions and attend hearings
- Participate in mediations and arbitrations
- Develop case strategy and evaluate litigation risks
- Review contracts and dispute-related documentation
- Communicate directly with clients regarding legal strategy and case developments
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Texas Bar License in good standing
- At least 1 year of post-licensure legal experience
- Strong litigation background
- Experience with pleadings, motions, discovery, and case management
- Excellent legal writing and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Houston
