MRO Fan Structures Engineer (Onsite)

Position posted: 2026-05-13. Location: Oklahoma City, OK, USA. Role: Onsite Fan Structures Engineer, part of the Tinker AFB Engine Life Management Team supporting the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT’s) responsible for Military Fan hardware. U.S. citizenship required. What You Will Do Execute structural engineering work with the needs of onsite designers, MRO, and ASE representatives of the CIPT supporting engine/hardware investigations and dispositions. Resolve complex mechanical engineering problems, ensuring engineering excellence and balanced system solutions. Conduct stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life and crack growth prediction analyses. Ensure proper documentation and communication of results to internal customers. Collaborate with onsite MRO and Customer Technical Support (CTS) team to address customer queries, review hardware, update maintenance manuals, and resolve field event root‑cause analyses. Continue to develop an improved personal understanding of the technologies, engine systems, business systems, regulations and business needs of the company and customers. Travel up to 10%. What You Will Learn Fan structures and aftermarket integration competencies and an in‑depth knowledge of sustainment focused design work. Qualifications You Must Have B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering with 5+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience OR Advanced degree in an engineering field with 3+ years of experience. Experience with hardware and manufacturing methods. U.S. citizenship. Qualifications We Prefer Advanced Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Experience working in the Aerospace Industry (specifically gas turbine engines), component manufacturing and associated quality requirements. Excellent communication & collaboration skills and the ability to function across a wide range of disciplines and management levels. Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and organizational skills. Working knowledge of ANSYS, P&W Quality Systems, configuration management process.
