We are excited to welcome a dependable and detail-oriented Porter/Dishwasher with experience in a café, restaurant, or food-service environment. This individual has a strong understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety standards, along with a hospitality-driven mindset and commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Kitchen Cleaning & Sanitation

• Ensure the kitchen area is clean, organized, and properly maintained, including floors, countertops, and cooking equipment. 
• Support overall kitchen cleanliness to uphold sanitation and hygiene standards in compliance with Department of Health (DOH) regulations. 
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping floors, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies. 

Dishwashing & Dish Area Operations

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cookware. 
• Properly sort, organize, and store clean dishes and kitchen items. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free dish area to support smooth kitchen operations. 

Waste Removal & Recycling

• Dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste disposal and recycling areas. 

Equipment Cleaning & Support

• Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and appliances to ensure safe and efficient operations. 

Facility Upkeep & Maintenance Support

• Perform light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, minor equipment adjustments, and unclogging drains. 
• Support facility upkeep by ensuring storage areas, hallways, and common spaces remain clean, organized, and hazard-free. 
• Identify and promptly report larger maintenance or safety concerns to management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of porter and/or dishwasher experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation, safety standards, and Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
• Ability to maintain an organized and clutter-free dishwashing and kitchen area.
• Strong work ethic; well-organized, reliable, and focused.
• Dependable and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions.
• Demonstrates professionalism and respect toward colleagues, managers, and vendors.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., and stand, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-hour shifts).

Schedule:  Full-time, On-Site

Base salary: $20.00/hour
