Certified Medical Assistant OR Licensed Practical Nurse- Pediatric After Hours & Specialty Clinic

Job Summary Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the CMA performs multi‑skilled activities to support a decentralized, patient‑centered approach to care, including rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in an electronic medical record, giving injections, and assisting with minor procedures. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Responsible for quality patient care under the direction of a physician or licensed healthcare provider, including patient rooming, vitals and history collection, documentation in the electronic medical record, and assistance with minor procedures. Work Hours After Hours Care: Monday‑Friday 3:00pm–10:00pm; Saturday‑Sunday 12:00pm–7:00pm (holidays same days) Specialty Clinics (M‑F 8:00am–4:30pm) Minimum Training and Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred. basic computer skills required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required; annual competency maintenance required. Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) must be certified through AMT, AAMA, NHA, or MedCA as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or NAHP. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed as an LPN in South Carolina or a compact state. Current BLS certification required for both positions. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously. Ability to climb stairs (infrequent) and use elevated areas (frequent). Ability to work indoors continuously and outdoors in temperature extremes (infrequent). Ability to work in confined/cramped spaces (frequent) and perform kneeling positions (infrequent). Ability to flex, twist, and reach overhead (frequent) and perform repetitive hand/wrist/shoulder motions continuously. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs. unassisted; lift/lower 50lbs. from floor or 36in. to overhead as specified. Maintain 20/40 vision, hearing, and tactile sensory functions; capable of dealing with stressful situations (continuous). Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and a latex‑safe environment.
