Overview A family is looking for part‑time direct companion care for a 34‑year‑old adult male with autism located in South Orange County, CA. Key Responsibilities Experience with autistic adults. Apply a psychosocial approach to the plan of care instead of a purely behavioral approach. Use clinical judgment and a strength‑based approach to adjust techniques according to the client’s needs. Employ positive behavior support strategies to reduce the occurrence of challenging behavior. Maintain a supportive partnership with the client and family, upholding professionalism, confidentiality, and respect. Flexible work availability: 2 to 3 times a week for 4‑hour shifts. Qualifications Minimum bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, education, social work, or other relevant disciplines); master’s degree in special education or mental health‑related fields preferred. At least two years of experience in direct care for adults with autism or mental health clients. Flexibility and residency in Orange County. Possession of a valid driver’s license and a vehicle. Preferred experience includes caring for adults with autism and direct care for mental health clients. Flexible work availability: 2 to 3 times a week, 8‑12 hours per week.
