Whether you're starting your first job or looking for a meaningful way to stay active, this role is for you.Apply today and make a splash—your community needs you!Child Abuse Prevention - Supports the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by:Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisorFollowing all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of childrenReporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisorCompleting all child abuse prevention training as requiredQualificationsRequired Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: Previous lifeguarding experience preferred. Experience in a customer service role or similar environment. Required Skills and Abilities: Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues. Knowledge of CPR, First Aid, and AED usage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations. Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
