Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Medical/Surgical specialty. This position is for the 2N/3N Medical/Surgical Floors and involves providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population.

Position Information:

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Medical/Surgical
• Number of Openings: 2
• Shift: 1900-0730
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Typically rotate into every third weekend
• Call Requirements: None

Qualifications:

• Required Certifications: BLS (ACLS preferred)
• Years of Experience: 2 years
• Float Requirements: May float as a sitter to the Senior Behavioral Health Unit or to the ICU as a sitter if needed (rare)

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 32 (census typically 10-20)
• Patient Ratios: 4-6 patients per RN
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, GE monitors
• EHR: Meditech

Patient Population:

The patient population includes geriatrics and adults.

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Medical
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Post-surgical care
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Sepsis, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, Renal Failure, and post-operative patients (backs, joints, general surgeries)
• Personality Fit: Flexible and a good team player

Required Education:

Applicants must possess a valid nursing degree and appropriate licensure.

• Scrub Color: Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Caribbean Blue, Black, Gray
• Undershirt Colors: Black, White, or Gray only
• Jackets: Must be scrub jackets
• Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies, sweatshirts, or fleece clothing
