Job Summary

Las Alturas de Penitas is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA will be responsible for administering medications to residents in accordance with state regulations and facility policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients.
Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents accurately and timely.
• Monitor and document residents' responses to medications and report any adverse reactions or concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Assist nursing staff with resident care as needed.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification renewal as required.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification in the state of Texas.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.

Work Environment

This position is based at Las Alturas de Penitas, a long-term care facility located in Penitas, TX. The role involves direct interaction with residents and requires adherence to all health and safety protocols.
