Apprentice Mechanic

The Maintenance Apprentice will receive on-the-job training on performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and will assist with minor repairs to ensure proper performance and safety of company vehicles. This individual will learn how to properly maintain commercial motor vehicles according to DOT regulations and Company standards

Starting Pay: $25-$30/hr More pay available based on experience, certifications and skill level.

Shift: 2 options. Expect 9hr+ working shifts. Overtime over 40hrs. 1)4am-2pm M-F. 2)830am-6pm M-F.

Responsibilities: -Perform daily inspections, diagnose issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs on Diesel Refuse Trucks. -Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, PTO systems, and other truck components. -Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to keep Refuse Trucks operating safely and reliably. -Perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs to ensure fleet vehicles are ready for daily operation.
