Maintenance Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

Provide guidance and leadership to all maintenance personnel on shift. Ensure safe and efficient operation of all mechanical equipment in the facility through the administration of a preventive maintenance program. Monitor the production process and respond to mechanical breakdowns to direct and guide mechanic response and efficiency. Ensure equipment is in working order and working conditions are always safe. Verify the readiness of the production line at start-up. Manage overall maintenance work quality and completion to ensure all standards and specifications are met. Assist employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments. Staff, train, evaluate, and develop team members. Champion for company-wide safety programs and initiatives. REQUIREMENTS: Excellent communications skills. In-depth knowledge of Poultry Maintenance Operations or transferable skill sets from food manufacturing process in a similar industry. Ability to work with computers, Office programs, as well as payroll, attendance, and performance tracking software. 2+ years of experience managing hourly associates at the frontline level, preferably in poultry processing. In-depth knowledge of applicable fields, like Pneumatics, Plumbing, Electricity, Hydraulics, and general maintenance of industrial equipment. Knowledge of PLC'S & Electronics. Must have verifiable experience with the Stork Nu-Tec Nuova Eviscerating Equipment specially the PNT and Rehanger. Must be able to troubleshoot with an electrical meter and read electrical line diagrams. As a plus experience with Ishida Scales, Food Mate Ultimate, and Pac-mac Baggers. PREFFERED EDUCATION AND SKILLS: High school diploma. Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred. 5+ years of maintenance experience in a food-manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in heavy industrial equipment repair. Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic competency. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Self-motivation. Ability to work independently. High energy level. Team player.
