- Hiring Process: Profile Review: Profile Review with MedSol Clinical, Interview with Unit manager at facility
- Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted
- Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote

MUST have PACU/ICU experience


Unit PACU -SAN
# Beds 13 Preop, 19 PACU, at 5 phase 2
Phase 1 and Phase 2? Preop, Phase 1 and Phase 2
Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:1 pediatrics or unstable patienrs, then 2: 1
Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ALS, PALs
Common Cases Ortho: Total joints and spine, OB/GYN, General, Urology, Endoscopy
Experience or 'Must have' skills Critical Care - PACU/ ICU
EMR Epic
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes - as needed
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios No
RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Vents, optiflow, Bi-Pap, Cpap
ICU patients - do they recover in PACU? Yes
RNs read strips? Yes
Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Hybrid - we take requests, but do not guarantee shifts, and no block scheduling
Weeknight/Call Requirements Yes - 1930-0730
Weekend/Call Requirements Yes - PRN - shifts will vary. See below
Holiday/Call Requirements Yes - As needed (Thanksgiving and Christmas) 24 hour
What is call response time? 30 mins
Floating Requirements Yes within the unit - Preop and PACU Ph. 1 and 2
Scrub Color/Dress Code Blue scrubs, we change into hospital provided scrubs
Unit/Department specific orientation Preop/PACU Primarily PACU

1 night a week (12 hours) 1930-0730
Every 6th weekend (12.5 hours): Days - Sat & Sun 0700-1930 Nights - Fri, Sat, Sun from 1900-0730
