Job Title: IP Patent Paralegal
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an IP Patent Paralegal to join our client to support complex international patent prosecution activities and strengthen coordination with foreign associates. This role centers on managing U.S. patent filings for global clients while acting as a key partner to both an assigned attorney and the Foreign Intake Department. The position blends hands on docket and filing responsibilities with collaborative support across a specialized team. This is a remote, direct hire opportunity available to candidates located in NY, NJ, CT, PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC.
Compensation:
$80,000 – $115,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours within 7am to 7pm; 35 hour work week with eligibility for overtime after 40 hours
Key Responsibilities of the IP Patent Paralegal:

• Manage end to end preparation and filing of U.S. patent applications on behalf of foreign associates, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Partner closely with an assigned attorney to support a large international client portfolio and maintain consistent communication with global stakeholders
• Coordinate intake, review, and processing of foreign originated patent matters within the Foreign Intake Department
• Collaborate with team members to maintain organized docketing systems and monitor deadlines across multiple jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance with USPTO requirements and internal firm procedures while identifying opportunities to improve workflow efficiency

Qualifications and Skills for the IP Patent Paralegal:

• At least five years of experience handling U.S. patent filings for foreign associates within a law firm environment
• Strong knowledge of patent prosecution procedures and familiarity with international filing processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a deadline driven setting
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across legal and administrative teams
