Account Manager

Full job description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with expertise in GST and IT filing to join our team. The Accountant will be crucial in managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and optimizing tax strategies. This role requires in-depth knowledge of GST and IT laws, as well as proficiency in accounting principles. Key Responsibilities GST Compliance: Oversee GST compliance activities, including registration, filing of returns, reconciliation of GST data, and handling GST audits. Stay updated on changes in GST regulations and ensure timely compliance. IT Filing: Prepare and file income tax returns, TDS returns, and other tax filings in compliance with IT regulations. Coordinate with external tax consultants, if necessary, to ensure accurate and timely filings. Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. Ensure that financial transactions are recorded correctly and in compliance with accounting standards. Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of the institute's budget, with a focus on tax planning and optimization. Analyze tax implications of financial decisions and provide recommendations to management. Tax Planning: Identify opportunities for tax savings and optimization of tax liabilities. Advise management on tax‑efficient strategies for business operations, investments, and transactions. Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, particularly in relation to GST and IT matters. Provide documentation and support to auditors during audit procedures. Training and Compliance Awareness: Conduct training sessions for staff members to enhance awareness and understanding of GST and IT compliance requirements. Ensure that employees follow established procedures and guidelines.
