Dishwasher Position at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort

The Dishwasher, under the direction of the Stewarding Supervisor of the We Ko Pa Casino Resort, will be responsible for cleaning dishes in the restaurants of the We Ko Pa Casino Resort. This includes operating the dish machine, hand washing items, pots and pans, and all related tasks. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the highest cleanliness standards. Must be able to work in all areas of need in the Food and Beverage Department as required by business demands.

Essential duties include providing exceptional guest service, maintaining the dish room, contributing to a team effort, reading and following all operating procedures, assisting with kitchen cleanliness, maintaining proper sanitation levels, following IHS and state guidelines, maintaining positive communication, and performing other related duties as required. Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds and push or pull 100. Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check), pass a pre-employment drug test, and be 18 years of age.

Work conditions include bending, reaching, standing, and walking for 34-66% of the workday, eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of the workday, exposure to hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of the workday, exposure to dust for 1-33% of the workday, sitting for 1-33% of the workday, and exposure to a high level of noise daily while working on the casino floor.

Education and/or experience preferred includes two years as a server in an a la carte restaurant, casino, bar, high-end resort, or comparable venue as a restaurant server, strong communication skills and passion for hospitality, self-motivation with attention to detail, and 4-diamond resort or casino experience.
