Staff Pharmacist Part Time

Staff Pharmacist Responsibilities Help manage and improve patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as a proxy, providing coaching and performance feedback. Assume day‑to‑day duties when the pharmacist‑on‑duty is the sole or primary pharmacist. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following workflow procedures and safety guidelines. Provide empathy and coaching to promote positive patient experiences. Drive immunization programs and support pharmacy technicians in learning to immunize. Manage pharmacy inventory, protect cold‑chain products, and maintain inventory best practices. Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues to management as needed. Maintain a flexible schedule, support scheduling, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Keep clinical and technical skills current, pursue continued learning and CMEs. Assist with patient access to care, prescriptive services, and holistic care throughout the patient journey. Comply with federal and state laws, professional standards, and CVS Health policies to ensure patient safety and protect privacy. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacy License in the state where the location is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties list. Essential Functions Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within the designated timeframe. Show focus and concentration on tasks, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription information for safety. Provide customer service and team orientation, look for ways to help and respond appropriately. Use verbal and written communication for patient interactions and active listening. Apply mathematical reasoning to solve problems, such as determining dosage and inventory quantities. Resolve issues by identifying challenges and choosing the best action. Physical demands include mobility, lifting, scanning, and other activities as described. Perform any additional tasks as directed. Preferred Qualifications 1–2 years of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service. Willingness to work in other locations as business needs require. Work Hours and Compensation Weekly Hours: 25 hours, Part time. Typical pay range: $60.00 – $76.00 per hour.
