Live Events Ticketing Specialist

This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Ticketing and is responsible for supporting all ticketing operations across First Avenue’s venues, including the First Avenue Mainroom, 7th St Entry, Turf Club, Fine Line, Palace Theatre, The Fitzgerald Theater, and promoted shows at partner venues. The role plays a critical part in building, managing, and maintaining ticketing systems to ensure successful onsales, accurate reporting, and seamless event execution.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. This position requires regular on-site office hours Monday through Friday, typically between 9:00am and 7:00pm, with flexibility based on show schedules and operational needs. Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays is required on occasion, but not expected to be regular.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee and manage ticketing operations for assigned concerts, comedy shows, and theater events Build and maintain ticket links, including presales, onsales, and event updates Create and manage VIP packages, both on-platform and off-platform Monitor and manage ticket counts and inventory across all assigned shows Proof and quality-check ticket links and show builds for accuracy Prepare nightly production reports and event-related ticketing documentation Execute ticket relocations and reclassifications for venue or configuration changes Conduct buyer list scrubs to identify suspicious activity and report findings Handle ticket buys for labels, promoters, and internal stakeholders Print and distribute hard tickets as needed for miscellaneous sales Troubleshoot ticketing systems, hardware, and software issues Assist with theater builds, refunds, settlements, and reporting Manage multiple inboxes (Box Office, Ticketing, Counts) and maintain organized communication Perform administrative tasks including reporting, filing, and record management Attend team meetings, trainings, and cross-departmental collaborations Support Marketing, Booking, and other departments with ticketing-related needs Act as an on-site ticketing resource during high-profile and high-volume events Maintain professionalism, organization, and adaptability in fast-paced environments Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred Experience with ticketing platforms such as AXS, Ticketmaster, Etix, See Tickets, Dice, Tixr, or similar systems preferred Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer systems Strong written and verbal communication skills Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make decisions independently Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners Basic math skills and comfort working with data and reporting Ability to work in loud, crowded, and fast-paced environments when needed Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Ability to maintain professionalism when handling confidential or sensitive information Attendance Must be able to consistently work on-site in the Minneapolis office Monday through Friday with regular attendance. Work Location/Travel Must be able to travel to and work at venues throughout Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and surrounding areas. Age Must be 18 years of age or older. Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Reliability Must have reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to move products from outside receiving area to designated areas inside different venues. Ability to place items onto shelves at various heights. Ability to walk up and down stairs and ramps. Ability to bend, lift, reach, grab, pull, push, and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds. Ability to move throughout different venues and multiple-level buildings. Ability to quickly learn and use touch-screen devices, computers, mobile devices.

ANNUAL SALARY

$45,000-$55,000
