Payroll Manager

Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Manage multicompany and multistate payrolls, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance. Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll integration with other systems and processes. Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and update company policies accordingly. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 8 years of payroll experience, with a focus on multicompany and multistate payrolls. Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of payroll experience, with a focus on multicompany and multistate payrolls. Extensive experience with Deltek/Costpoint accounting systems. Strong experience in ADP/Paychex payroll systems. Strong understanding of payroll taxes and related compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and lead a team effectively. Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
