BIM/VDC EngineerBIM/VDC Engineer OverviewLead the creation and management of 3D models using VDC/BIM technologies to support estimating and constructability reviews on complex heavy civil projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed models in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk AEC Suite, including surfaces, alignments, corridors, and assembliesModel underground utilities, MEP systems, and concrete structures for lift drawings, rebar, and formworkProvide constructability and sequencing feedback through BIM model reviewsCoordinate models internally and with external teamsPerform quantity takeoffs to support pre-construction and field teamsCollaborate closely with VDC Lead and project staff; occasional site visits to align models with field conditionsMaintain and develop object libraries and stay current with BIM platforms and toolsWhat We’re Looking For:3+ years of BIM/VDC experience in heavy civil or concrete structuresProficient in Revit, Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or OpenRoadsExperience modeling utilities, trenching, excavations, and concrete structuresSkilled in BIM coordination using tools like Navisworks, Revizto, Trimble Connect, or Autodesk Construction CloudFamiliar with 4D scheduling (Synchro, Navisworks, or CmBuilder)Proficient in Microsoft Office and BluebeamBonus: Programming skills (Revit/AutoCAD API, Dynamo, C#) and dashboarding tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)Weareanequalopportunityemployer:Wedonotdiscriminatebasedonrace,color,nationalorigin,religion,creed,sex,sexualorientation,genderidentity,disability,age,geneticinformation,maritalstatus,militarystatus,membershiporactivityinalocalhumanrightscommission,orstatuswithregardtopublicassistance,oranyothercharacteristicprotectedbyapplicablelaw.#LI-ER1 Texas Sterling Construction
