Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Mid/Senior Level Momentum Developer to support federal clients in modernizing and enhancing Momentum based financial, procurement, and budget systems. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in C++, Java, SQL, and modern full stack development with Microservices, Angular, and Spring Boot. This role will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of Momentum application components, APIs, and custom extensions.
This position is located in our Lebanon, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
. Design, develop, and maintain Momentum application components, including custom extensions, interfaces, and integrations.
. Build and enhance backend services using C++, Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architectures.
. Implement front end enhancements and user interfaces using Angular (or similar modern UI frameworks).
. Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access components to support Momentum data models.
. Collaborate with functional analysts and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, demos) and contribute to continuous process improvement.
. Troubleshoot application defects, performance issues, and data inconsistencies across Momentum modules.
. Develop and maintain documentation, including technical designs, interface specifications, and release notes.
. Support integration efforts with external federal systems, service APIs, and enterprise platforms.
. Ensure all development follows CGI Federal coding standards, security protocols, and compliance requirements. Ability to mentor developers who can review and approve estimates

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Skills & Experience
. 5+ years of software development experience (mid/senior level).
. Strong experience with Momentum (Momentum Financials, Acquisitions, Budget, or related modules).
. Hands on experience in:
. C++ (Momentum core customizations, legacy components)
. Java and Spring Boot
. SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server)
. Microservices architecture and API development
. Angular (v8+) or similar modern JS frameworks
. Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
. Ability to work with cross functional teams including analysts, QA, DevOps, and client stakeholders. Experience with Momentum 7.x or 8.x release upgrades, customizations, or API development.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Preferred Qualifications: 
. Knowledge of WebMethods, Momentum integrations, or federal financial system interfaces.
. Familiarity with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized deployment.
. Prior professional experience supporting federal systems or government clients.

Clearance requirement
Ability to obtain agency-based clearance

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $80,600.00 $176,300.00.
