Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years experience in the Operating Room required License: Current registered nurse license required Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience required Epic experience required First-time travelers not accepted Description: The position requires operating room nursing experience. Candidates must have experience in general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastic procedures. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates must be willing to float to other operating rooms as needed. On-call duties are required as per unit needs, approximately three shifts per eight-week schedule. Weekend coverage requirements are as needed based on unit demands. A maximum of ten days off is allowed during the contract period. Time off is restricted during specific dates as outlined in the job description. Candidates must be prepared to handle various surgical cases including abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, craniotomies, and more. The unit consists of 41 operating rooms. Candidates may need to circulate an emergent craniotomy and perform other critical functions. All candidates will be expected to complete training modules within the first week of the assignment. Travel experience is required and qualified candidates must demonstrate extensive OR experience. Candidates must not have been previously employed by related organizations within the last two years. Flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to meet facility needs.
