Physical Therapist (PT) East County Water & Sports Physical Therapy is a women-owned private practice located in Spring Valley, CA, specializing in orthopedic physical therapy, sports medicine, and aquatic therapy. East County Water & Sports Physical Therapy is looking for a friendly, dependable Physical Therapist to join our established outpatient physical therapy practice. We are a small, patient-focused clinic with a welcoming atmosphere and a long history of serving the East County San Diego community. Our practice provides outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation as well as aquatic therapy, giving clinicians the opportunity to work with a varied patient population in both traditional and pool-based settings. New graduates are welcome to apply. Experience with aquatic therapy is helpful but not required; we are happy to work with the right person who is interested in learning. We offer: a starting salary of $45 - $55per hour (commensurate with your experience) 32 - 35 hours per week (3 full days / 2 half days) Flexibility to work with your schedule Health and Dental Insurance Vacation and Sick Leave Holiday Pay Continuing Education Allowance We are looking for someone who: Is a licensed California PT, or is eligible for California licensure Enjoys working one-on-one with patients and building lasting relationships Has an interest in orthopedic rehabilitation and/or aquatic therapy Is dependable, compassionate, and works well as part of a small team Values quality patient care and a positive working environment Responsibilities Deliver therapeutic interventions such as physiotherapy techniques, manual therapy and other modalities to promote healing and functional recovery. Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate updates to the healthcare team. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for instruction on a independent home program, Sx management, and activity modification techniques. Provide patient care in various environments outpatient clinic, and pool (which is off site). Maintain thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and relevant clinical procedures to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Qualifications Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist in accordance with state regulations, CPR certification. Proven experience working in outpatient settings, aquatic experience desired, not mandatory we are willing to train. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles. Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques preferred: joint mobilization, STM, PNF. Use of modalities: US/ES, IFC, EMS, KT and McConnell taping techniques. Knowledge of care plans development and discharge planning processes. Familiarity with treating diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics is highly desirable.
