Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN), Medical-Surgical Unit – Nashville, Tennessee

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Rotating schedule with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday), flexible weekdays. Days: 5-6:1 patient ratio; Nights: 6:1 patient ratio.

Highlights:

• 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit with dedicated support staff including unit secretaries and 2-3 Patient Care Technicians per shift
• Advanced equipment including Sara Steady lifts, wound vacs, tele health technology, virtual sitter equipment, and remote telemetry
• Meditech documentation system with Pyxis medication dispensing and IV pump technology
• Float PRN basis, typically between medical-surgical units for schedule variety
• Strong focus on patient experience with hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting protocols
• Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff and comprehensive support services

Requirements:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) preferred
• Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
• Demonstrated experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Competency in IV and Foley catheter placement procedures
