Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is sought for a position located in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized care in a cardiovascular progressive care setting, with a primary focus on patients undergoing cardiac and vascular surgeries, including open heart procedures, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, and fem-pop bypass. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: June 15, 2026
• Position Type: Contractor replacement
• Number of Positions: 1
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent, North Carolina nursing license, zero years of experience required, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications.
• Preferred Qualifications: Stepdown experience, telemetry experience, prior experience with cardiac surgery and vascular surgery patient populations (such as open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass) within the past year, CVICU experience, proficiency with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system.
• Additional Information: No on-call responsibilities. Minimum of six weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday, day/night) per six-week schedule period. Flexible to work holidays.
• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
