General Production Worker

This short-term General Production Worker position runs for approximately 1–2 months on a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will support daily production and warehouse operations by stacking and inspecting corrugated boxes and packaging, moving inventory on the production floor, and performing quality checks to ensure orders meet specifications.

Responsibilities

• Stack corrugated boxes and packaging according to order requirements, ensuring neatness, stability, and accuracy.
• Visually inspect corrugated boxes and packaging for defects, damage, or inconsistencies and remove nonconforming items from the production flow.
• Move inventory around the production floor safely and efficiently to support ongoing production and shipping activities.
• Perform quality inspections on orders and boxes as they come through, verifying that products meet specified standards and customer requirements.
• Focus on order details by reviewing and confirming product numbers, quantities, and labeling per order.
• Number and label products accurately per order specifications to maintain correct tracking and identification.
• Assist with general warehouse and production duties such as picking, packing, loading, packaging, and shipping and receiving as needed.
• Use RF scanners or other tracking tools, when required, to locate, pick, and record inventory movements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following established housekeeping and safety practices.
• Follow all production, warehouse, and safety procedures and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Previous production or manufacturing experience, or warehouse general labor experience.
• Ability to perform general production tasks such as stacking, packaging, and basic machine or line support.
• Experience working in a warehouse environment with responsibilities such as picking, packing, loading, and inventory handling.
• Capability to perform visual inspection and basic quality checks on products and packaging.
• Comfort with physical tasks, including standing for most of the shift, lifting, carrying, and moving boxes and materials.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and focus on order details and product numbering.
• Reliability and punctuality for a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners for inventory tracking, picking, and packing.
• Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading materials.
• Familiarity with handling corrugated boxes and packaging materials in a production setting.
• Strong attention to detail when labeling, numbering, and verifying orders.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a production or warehouse team.

Work Environment

This role is based in a production and warehouse facility that can be very hot in the summer and generally warm throughout the year. Team members have access to breaks, opportunities to cool down, and water to stay hydrated. The workday follows a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The environment is active and fast-paced, with frequent movement around the production floor, handling corrugated boxes, and working near packaging and shipping areas. Appropriate attire suitable for a warm, industrial setting and physical work is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
