About the Role

The Company is in search of a transformational Vice President of Engineering to spearhead the evolution of its technology organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and scaling a high-performing engineering team, driving organizational transformation towards AI-assisted engineering workflows, and modern software delivery practices. This role demands a leader with a strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and modern engineering frameworks, as well as a proven track record in modernizing platforms, scaling engineering organizations, and driving operational excellence. The VP of Engineering will also be instrumental in establishing a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and innovation, and will play a critical role in the company's mission to accelerate growth and re-commerce. Candidates for the VP of Engineering position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 15 years of progressive software engineering experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in high-growth technology companies, marketplace platforms, SaaS, or consumer technology organizations, and a strong understanding of AI/ML systems and their application in engineering. Key responsibilities include technology strategy and architecture, delivery excellence, and cross-functional leadership. The role also requires a leader with strong communication skills, a deep understanding of agile delivery models, and a proven ability to manage engineering budgets and large-scale technology investments.
