About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Mother Baby CWR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3+ years of Mother Baby experience required License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Labor and Delivery, OR, Postpartum, Antepartum Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnoses, and the functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. More postpartum nursing experience is preferred rather than labor and delivery.
