Accounting Manager, Commercial

A great client at UHY is seeking a Accounting Manager, Commercial . The ideal candidate will have warranty accounting experience, expertise in ASC 450, and experience leading technical accounting initiatives. The Accounting Manager, Commercial role is a hybrid position, with 1 day each week being onsite (this is flexible). This is a client direct hire position. Accounting Manager, Commercial Responsibilities Lead the accounting and policy development for warranty and service liabilities in accordance with GAAP and ASC 450 Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, Legal, Engineering, and FP&A to evaluate the accounting impact of new programs and services Develop and maintain warranty accounting methodologies, estimates, and internal controls Prepare and review warranty accruals, true-ups, and related financial disclosures Serve as the technical accounting lead during audits for warranty-related matters Design and improve accounting processes, controls, and ERP workflows to support company growth Collaborate with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for warranty and service costs Mentor and develop accounting team members while driving continuous process improvements Accounting Manager, Commercial Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA required; active license preferred 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in public accounting Strong knowledge of ASC 450 and technical accounting principles Experience with warranty accounting, service accruals, or contingent liabilities Automotive, EV, or related industry experience preferred Advanced Excel skills; NetSuite or similar ERP experience preferred Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to build scalable accounting processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment #J-18808-Ljbffr UHY-US
