Position Summary

The Payroll Specialist I provides foundational payroll support through data entry, record maintenance, and payroll processing assistance.

This is an entry-level role designed to build payroll knowledge and prepare employees for advancement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with payroll data entry and processing
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation
  • Review timekeeping inputs
  • Respond to routine payroll inquiries
  • Support reporting and reconciliation preparation
  • Participate in cross-training

Minimum Qualifications for Considerations:
  • High School Education or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in payroll processing preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Moderate Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook),
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Display professional demeanor
  • Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individuals
  • Demonstrate dependability through good attendance, punctuality and adherence to timelines and schedules
  • Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures
  • Clear communication skills in dealing with CSC Centers, outside departments, other team members and vendors.
  • Capable of doing general math and analytical problems.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity.
  • Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Working conditions:
  • Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
