Activities Assistant

Per Diem AssistantBethany Village Assisted Living facility is looking for a PER DIEM assistant!Position Overview:To keep the residents active and stimulated through various activity programs.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for knowing individual responsibilities, but concerns should be reported immediately to the supervisor.Daily activities programs with residents, includes set-up for activities daily and weekly.Responsible for the safety of fellow employees, as well judgment is required in order to make independent decisions.Extensive responsibility for the maintenance of confidential resident/facility information.Endorses and complies with the vision, objectives, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village.Basic Duties & Responsibilities:Responsible for the safety of fellow workers as well as residents.Judgment is required in order to make independent decisions.Adheres to all fire safety & evacuation procedures.All other duties as assigned.Requirements:Education Required:High school diploma is required for this position.Ability to read and write English is also required for this position.Valid NYS Driver's License is required.Experience Required:Minimum training time of 1 month should be expected in order to satisfactorily perform this job.Hazards:No significant hazards should be expected for this position.MSDS sheets are available for all chemicals used.Equipment Used:TelephonesTelevision/VCRComputerCopierWorking Conditions:Hours: This position may require to work off shifts as necessary.Weekends and traveling may be required as needed.Working conditions for this position may include the following: Inside, outside, hot, cold, sudden temperature changes, humid, dry, wet, odors, noisy, adequate lighting/ventilation, moving objects, cramped quarters, working with/around others, working alone.Personal Protective Equipment & Uniform Requirements:Business Casual DressBethany Village Photo I.D.Additional Qualifications:Creativity, a sense of humor, and a genuine compassion for the residents are beneficial to successfully perform in this position.
