Industrial WelderIndustrial welders in a fabrication shop are responsible for joining metal components together using various welding techniques. They play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, creating a wide range of metal products.Key responsibilities include:Using various welding techniques to join metal components.Operating and maintaining tools and equipment.Performing housekeeping in the area as needed.Wearing safety glasses and hearing protection.Following written and oral directions.Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Welding certification preferred.Experience:Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW 3G Vertical.Carbon and stainless-steel experience required.Knowledge skills and abilities:Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.Ability to work accurately and with precision.Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations.Work location and travel:1171 Grill Road, Van Wert, OH 45891Work environment:The working environment is in an industrial shop; non-climate controlled and is often hot / humid. Frequent exposure to moving equipment, machines and shop tools, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Need quick hand and arm movements for grasping, manipulating, and assembling objects.Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: People in this position frequently need to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.See: Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Carry, weight, Lift: The person in this position occasionally be able to lift and carry up to 100lbs.Exposure to work: Considerable time will be spent in processing environments both in and outdoors.
