Hospital Security Guard (Full-time Night Shift)

Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to patrol the premises within the building and on the campus to detect suspicious activity, assist employees, and ensure the safety of occupants. Additionally, monitor assigned facility cameras.Essential Job FunctionsProtect property and lives by patrolling the areaMonitor entrances and exits of buildingRegulate and monitor building systems; respond to alarms or calls of distressIn conjunction with legal and compliance investigate thefts and file police reports as neededReport any infractions or violations to the Administrator on CallInspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and workingReview video surveillance in conjunction with Hospital Administrator and or senior leadership as neededBuild relationships with the local law enforcement and state police departmentsMonthly touch point with Safety DirectorOther Job FunctionsAttend all staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredPerform additional duties as assignedTravel to all market sites as neededBasic Qualifications2+ years of experience as a security officer or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education with comparable knowledge, skills and abilitiesDe-escalation training preferredPosition requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
