We are seeking an Medical Receptionist to join our team! You will perform clerical and administrative functions in order to drive success at our Port Jefferson Station pediatric office.
Job Duties & Essential Functions:
- Perform all necessary receptionist duties including answering, screening, and routing of phone calls.
- Obtaining patient demographics, medical insurance information and verifying eligibility.
- Take appropriate messages and ensure the proper delivery of those messages.
- Assess telephone calls, including determining urgency of calls and referring urgent medical queries to physician or nurse immediately.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education and Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED.
- MUST have at least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Receptionist or similar role.
