Loan Servicing Specialist

TreVita is hiring a Loan Servicing Specialist to be the first point of contact for borrowers. You'll answer customer questions, process payments and account changes, and work with customers on past-due accounts to help bring them current. You'll also support the weekly, monthly, and annual reporting that keeps leadership informed. What You’ll Do: Answer incoming customer calls, emails, and text messages promptly and professionally. Respond to borrower questions about loan status, balances, payment history, and account details. Document every customer interaction accurately in the loan management system. Payments and account changes Process customer payments accurately and on time. Handle requests to change due dates, set up payment plans, and prepare payoff quotes. Process payoffs and confirm accounts are closed out correctly. Collections and portfolio health Manage the portfolio of past-due accounts and work with borrowers to bring them current. Contact delinquent borrowers by phone, email, and text, following applicable collection laws and company policy. Address returned payments (NSF, closed accounts, stop payments) and follow up with borrowers to resolve them. Identify patterns behind returned payments and help keep the portfolio return rate low. Reporting Assist with weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting on payments, delinquency, returns, and portfolio performance. Flag trends, issues, and at-risk accounts to management. What We Look For: Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in loan servicing, collections, banking, or a customer-facing financial services role. Experience processing payments and handling sensitive financial information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Comfortable handling a high volume of calls, emails, and texts in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications Experience with a loan management system (LMS); LoanPro experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with consumer lending regulations such as the FDCPA, TCPA, and UDAAP.
