Principal, Strategy & Transformation - Payments

A well‑known Financial Services Company is seeking a Principal Consultant, Strategy & Transformation - Payments for a long‑term contract in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). This contract includes a competitive benefit package. Contract Duration: 6 Months+ extensions / conversion to FTE. Required Skills & Experience Strategy & Strategic Planning Proven experience developing multi‑year strategies for large, complex organizations Ability to design and articulate strategy frameworks (vision, North Star, themes, roadmaps, value levers) Strong capability to translate ambiguity into structured, fact‑based strategic narratives Executive Communication & Storytelling Exceptional skill in creating executive‑ready decks, narratives, and decision materials Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple stakeholders into clear, concise leadership messaging Comfort interfacing directly with senior leaders and domain experts Synthesis & Problem Solving Ability to piece together disparate context, data, and viewpoints into a coherent strategy or recommendation Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills to assess options, tradeoffs, and impacts Experience supporting integration planning, roadmap development, and sequencing of initiatives Familiarity with execution governance, dependency management, and progress tracking Ability to bridge strategy and delivery to ensure intent is preserved through execution Ways of Working Strong collaboration skills across business, technology, risk, and operations High comfort operating in complex, evolving environments with limited direction Demonstrated ability to work independently while driving outcomes Desired Skills & Experience Previous consulting backgrounds - ability to manage multiple products Experience supporting integration planning and managing execution through governance, roadmaps, and performance tracking Payments domain experience (e.g., ACH, wires, instant payments, investigations, servicing, controls) Experience supporting integration planning, roadmap development, and sequencing of initiatives Familiarity with execution governance, dependency management, and progress tracking Ability to bridge strategy and delivery to ensure intent is preserved through execution What You Will Be Doing Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Business Execution. Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering solutions that are long‑term, large‑scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, and advanced analytical and inductive thinking. Provide expertise to client senior leadership on innovative Business Execution business solutions. Strategically engage with client personnel. Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group #J-18808-Ljbffr Motion Recruitment
