Human Resources (HR) Generalist

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations for a team based in California. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance employee support, administrative accuracy, and compliance-focused HR coordination. The role will contribute across onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR systems while helping create a positive and well-organized employee experience.Responsibilities:• Manage daily HR activities across employee relations, personnel administration, and general team support.• Coordinate onboarding processes for new team members, ensuring timely documentation, orientation readiness, and a smooth start-to-employment experience.• Administer benefits-related tasks, including employee communication, enrollment support, and follow-up on eligibility or coverage questions.• Maintain accurate employee records within HR systems, including updates, audits, and routine data entry in platforms such as Paycom.• Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters with care and confidentiality.• Partner with managers and internal stakeholders to support HR processes, policy interpretation, and consistent employee practices.• Prepare and organize HR documentation, reports, and compliance-related records to support ongoing operational needs.• Assist with process improvements and system-related HR administration as needed to enhance workflow efficiency.
