Customer Service Representative Company: HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner) HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting two seasoned, highly skilled Customer Service Representatives to join one of our valued client partners in Houston, Texas. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for customer-focused professionals who thrive in a fast-paced industrial distribution environment and enjoy building long-term customer relationships while supporting sales, operations, and warehouse teams. The successful candidates will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service from order placement through fulfillment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts, providing responsive and professional support Build and maintain long-term customer relationships while managing account inquiries and service requests Generate product quotations, purchase orders, and process order revisions accurately Resolve customer order issues by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors Research vendors for non-stock product availability and pricing Partner with sales, operations, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Assist with inventory management initiatives and freight cost optimization Investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies and payment-related concerns Produce customer activity reports and contribute toward departmental KPI objectives Identify opportunities to introduce new products and support account growth through value-added solutions Maintain accurate customer records while following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support LEAN initiatives and digital workflow processes throughout daily operations Required Qualifications Minimum 4 years of customer service, purchasing, warehouse, or industrial distribution experience OR Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new software platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong mathematical aptitude for routine business calculations Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Ability to work fully onsite in Houston, Texas (remote work is not available) Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends with limited notice when business needs require Ability to work within a business casual professional environment U.S.-based applicants only Must be authorized to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications Previous experience within industrial distribution or supply chain operations ERP system experience (training will be provided) Business-to-Business (B2B) customer service experience Experience supporting purchasing, inventory, or logistics functions Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Experience working within KPI-driven environments Ability to identify cross-selling or upselling opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service HireNow Package Compensation: $25.00$27.00 per hour Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package upon permanent hire, ERP training, professional development opportunities, and career advancement potential Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (6-Month Contract) Schedule: MondayFriday | 8:00 AM5:00 PM CST | 40 Hours per Week Work Location: Onsite Houston, Texas Headcount: 2
