Dental, and Vision insurance 401(k) plan company match All employees receive their Birthday Off One Floating Holiday Provider Loan Repayment Program Position Summary Advance Community Health (an FQHC) is seeking a full time Dental Hygienist to join our newly expanded Dental practice in our Franklin County CarePlex in Louisburg, NC, that will promote dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening and radiographic studies, charting conditions of decay and disease, performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. Teach primary preventative care education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for knowing and following all dental policies and procedures, including documenting all patient interactions in EHR timely. Provide prophylactic care and preventative care to include topical fluoride varnish and application of occlusal sealants. Provide oral hygiene education to patients, on an individual basis and in groups when feasible and appropriate. Exposes and develops radiographs. Develops education programs with the Dental Director. Percepts dental hygiene students assigned to Advance Community Health or in conjunction with dental outreach programs. Participates in continuing education on and off site as feasible and appropriate. Perform sterilization of dental instruments and dental equipment. Strict adherence to all Advance Community Health, HIPAA, HRSA, State, Federal and accreditation agency rules, and regulations Other Duties Assigned Perform other duties as assigned or become necessary by supervisor. Supervisory Responsibility None Education and Experience Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited Dental Hygiene program New grads welcome Current CPR (BLS) required. Preferred Skills Ability to navigate and enter data into an EHR. Microsoft word/excel or equivalent.
