LPN Wound Care Nurse

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients with acute and chronic wounds, including dressing changes, debridement, and ostomy care

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team

• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed to promote optimal healing and pain management

• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to ensure comprehensive care

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including electronic medical records and paper records

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance wound care outcomes and patient satisfaction

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Florida

• 1+ year of experience in a post-acute setting, with a focus on wound care

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
