CDL A Truck Driver

JRayl Transport is hiring  CDL A Local Dry Van Drivers in Columbus, OH. J. Rayl is a large, asset-based logistics company that has been family owned and operated for 35 years. Founders Tim Rayl and Jim St. John began the company with only five trucks on a small private farm in Akron, OH. Since its humble beginnings, J. Rayl has grown tremendously but still maintains a focus of creating a unique family environment for their CDL Class A Truck Drivers.

Compensation:

• Starting hourly rate: $25
• Bonuses
  • Safety Bonus: $250 per quarter with no violations
  • Safety Bonus: NO VIOLATION inspections – Level 1: $500, Level 2: $250, Level 3: $100
  • Referral Bonus: $1,250 paid out after referral runs their first load – after 90 days of employment
• Paid via direct deposit weekly (2 week hold back)

Home Time, Route & Schedule

• Home Time: Home Daily
• Schedule/Shift: Day shift, Monday through Friday. No weekends!
• Route: Local, around Columbus, OH
• Level of Touch: No Touch Freight

Equipment

• 2020 or newer International/Kenworth
• Packard (Kenworth) S13 Engine/T14 Transmission (International)
• Inverters in all trucks
• Samsara ELD
• Heaters/Double Bunks
• Governed speed: 68 mph
  • Long Haul 75 mph

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL A License
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a minimum of 12 months verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience with a clean driving record within last 12 months (no more than 2 violations)
• Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
• Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
• Hiring Radius: Preferred within 50 miles of  Columbus, OH or be willing to relocate for this position
